Lynn Upton and his wife, Cathy, operate The Sapphire Cat, a small booth featuring exotic gemstones, jewelry, and other knickknacks such as old Texas magazines and used video games. What started as a hobby several years ago is now Upton's business.
The show also makes it possible for people who cannot operate a full time store to make their goods available to the public.
"A few years back, my ex wife asked me, 'Why don't you collect money instead of these rocks?'" Upton said. "I really enjoy working with these gemstones, though."

Denton and Joyce McNew have been working trade shows for about eight months. Their booth features an old covered wagon from which they dispense "Old Fashioned Soda." The old time sarsaparilla, root beer and orange cream soda in tin cups appeared to be popular with the crowd.
For the McNews, the camaraderie of the events is what keeps them coming back.
Since December, on the first weekend of every month, the old factory has been repurposed as the home of the Sweetwater Trade Days.
"All of these frames come with a lifetime guarantee," Lola said. "If they fall or break, Joe will fix them."
